keeping a sick finch in a hot room w a snake

I second keeping the finch in the warm room. Warmth is the best thing for a bird under the weather. As far as the snake goes, birds don't have much of a sense of smell so it will likely not even know the snake is in the same room. Birds count on theior eyesight to detect predators. Now if the snake was slithering on top of the cage then I would suspect this would no doubt unnerve the poor bird.

Might be a geographical state of mind , guess this post proves most Aussies have a hatred for snakes especially us that only ever encounter them when least expected and in a confrontational manner.
Americans seem to see them as harmless pets .
Each to their own , no right no wrong just different . And as I said b4 so long as the bird is doing OK then that is all that matters. :D

Can't say I'd agree, I've got two pair of snakes myself. Absolutly beautiful creatures, just don't like it when they eat the birds.

i was confused until i realized the location where most of the snake haters were from aussies snakes are the worlds most deadly the ones here dont pose a danger at all to kids or adults or even pets
