Lost a masked grassfinch fledgling (runt) yesterday and a black rumped DB the day before. Perth is a lot colder than this time last year. Can anyone say "climate change"?

This morning the whole area is white. The frost was so heavy it has burnt palm fronds 6m off the ground.
Water dishes frozen solid to a depth of 15mm.
But then the sun comes out and we enjoy a blue sky day.
By the way, those terracotta pots with the globe under them may make my birds soft!!!!! but losses NIL and there are around 400 birds here.
Once the sun is out the timers turn the lights off as the birds are not using them.

Accept that some days you are the pigeon, and some days you are the statue.

watch your toes, im about to drop some knowledge...poitta wrote:what happened to global warming.....
the misleading term global warming has replaced with climate change, as summers will not only become warmer, but winters will become colder, or the opposite depending on your area/country. there will also be trends in increasing summer rains and less winter rain. thats the gist of it anyway haha
thankyou murdoch university environmental science course
