Just ordinary strip light...I've never seen the need for fancy lighting,and I've been successfully breeding gouldians since 1958.

Now thats the kind of weather I dont miss. It was ok when you were nice and warm inside and could stay there, ok until you got the heating bills

I guess the lack of vitamin D is not a good thing and hopefully vitamin additives can overcome this to some extent...do your birds get any direct sunlight in the summer?
