Termites

Hi all
Was thinking of making up a box with 4 sides and a top , filled with oregon or cedar , and placed out in the bush to attract termites to collect.
reckon it would work ? or stick to rolling over dead timber

Just as easy to find a small nest, put in a leak proof container/tub/drum, with moist sawdust, put a ring of grease round the top to prevent escape, and black ant invassion, and just break off what you need as you go.

Dont come across many mounds where i go, but if i find one sounds like a good idea .
