You are never too old to learn.
Yesterday I caught up my Gouldians to give them their 1st dose of Scatt(air sack mite) and as they need their back up dose in 7 to 10 days I decided to put them in a holding cage in my bird room. Nothing odd about that except not thinking I put the water in the plastic gravity drinkers. When I checked them this morning they looked a bit fluffed up but I thought it may be a slight reaction as I use far more Scatt than others use. Checking them this afternoon they all looked downright ill.
It was then I thought maybe they needed better access to water,a shallow water dish was supplied and I was nearly knocked over as the birds started to drink then began to feed. Within 30 min they started to bath and act normally.
It is obvious in hindsight, they just didn't know how to locate the water.I had changed too many things, I should have known.
Luckily a disaster avoided

Very lucky , amazing how they bounce back so quickly.
