New birds coming from airport

was getting two hens and a cock,but only getting one pair now as someone offered him more than his advatised price for a hen i was already getting.

Already have about ten cocks two hens only.three uncoloured young , possibly more young in nests.will probly get all males again.plus pair coming tommorrow.So really need hens as cocks i have plenty off.would buy pairs off young birds if price is right though.If had to.cause would have to sell on the cock birds.

are you just breeding them in prs or going for more males to the 1 hen.have heard they breed better like that. theres an article in our western finch mag from fidler hes got 3 cocks to 1 hen and does preety good

have one pair in a mixed collection,they are doing the best.And a trio in a mixed collection have got a couple out of them.Have the spare cocks in avairys beside the pairs to keep them honest.

picked up birds from airport.Customs idiots tore a hole in cardboard front to look in,took out birds emptied out seed and put the birds back in.poor little buggers may not have had any food, for up to twelve hours.They were sure hungry when i put them in the holding cabinet.Hope it doesnt weaken them to much.The are cracking down on seed and water in boxes,you arnt supposed to send it with the birds anymore.
