That makes sense finchbreeder... because my aviary's new the branches are all fresh at the moment, but one of the things I'm going to do at Spanna's suggestion is put some more brush in. Have to put it in polypipe and hang it against the back wall as the aviary is built onto the back wall of an old brick shed and can't drill any more holes now that the birds are in.
Flab - my O/B hen looks much better with the warmth and easy access to food and is now quite active, but when she sits still you can see her respiration rate is still really high. Giving her the moxidecton today, not sure how long till you see results but will keep her in the hot box till her respiration rate is normal. Think I would be silly not to treat them all but it was a difficult decision with the pros and cons of treatment to consider, but made easier when I saw my emblema hen this morning and she looked a bit fluffed up. Couldn't see her respiration rate clearly.

Yes Flab she's much more active, but in a small hot box so can't overdo it. Spanna suggested treating her for 2 days. Because she's not sitting still much it does make it harder to monitor her breathing whereas before it was just so obvious. Hope you get your meds tomorrow. Are you North or South as I diluted 2.5 mls into 500mls H2O and havn't used it all and have kept another 2.5 mls for 2 weeks time so could share some with you if yours doesn't arrive.

Hi Redwing, actually no, the supplier has been hopeless, told the vet it had been sent when it hadn't and so on. Not happy! We couldn't pick it up yesterday as planned unfortunately.
Waiting to see if it comes in this morning, if not will ring you and we can maybe get it later today. Also it turns out to be the same as you have, so I could have got some off you days ago if I had known....
Birds stable so hopefully once we get some treatment they will pick up quickly. How is your OB?

Hi Flab, She's looking a bit better each day but still not completely recovered. Didn't hear from you so does that mean you managed to collect yours ? Certainly hope so as you've had to wait long enough.

Hi Redwing, no, still no medicine!
My husband contacted you (well, sent a text but I suspect he sent it to the wrong number
) to see if he could get it today. Unfortunately he won't be at work tomorrow (minding our sick boy) and I am working all day till 7 pm. So I hope the vet get the stuff in tomorrow because I am really fed up with waiting! The supplier who shall remain nameless has been totally useless...
