Gouldian boxes

Sorry I havent posted for a while,I havent been too well I will try and post a bit more now things are better.
It's been a pretty good year for me with my gouldians andhave around 60 young the problem I have is that they are still nesting , should I start to pull the boxes out as I dont want to put extra stress on the birds now that they have started to molt.
Will the late young I have in the nests still colour this year or will they wait until the next moult.

Sorry to hear you haven't been well, but glad to hear you are feeling better now.
60 young, wow you have done well.
I would probably take out nests as each are finished with them and if space allows separate the pairs. Probably will take a few weeks to get it all over and done with if you still have nests with eggs and young. From everything I have read the young should colour up this year, however last year I did get one youngster that was hatched out late in the year and he ended up with a mottled head of red and grey feathers, he still has them, but seems fine in all other respects, his clutch mates all coloured up fully. Im expecting him to coloured up fully after his moult.
