While I'm here my list is different to what it would be back in Australia. The Philippines can still import but these guys don't bring in anything more than canaries these days. Anyway top of my list is to get the red-eared parrot-finch (shown in my icon). I'm currently writing a proposal to put to my kids school to get a bank of breeding aviaries and establish a captive breeding program for this threatened endemic species. The administrators were interested when I presented the concept at Fridays PTA meeting. Given the political heavies whose kids attend this school I think I've got a chance of success.

If I could get them, I'd be happy with painted firetails, orange breasted wax-bills and blue-face parrot finches but the the purple grenadiers look incredible and I've always been facinated by green strawbs and quail-finches. Ah dreaming is a nice way to spend time but figuring how to realise it can be frustrating. Hey, I'd be happy if my spice finches bred!

I've been trying to put together a short list, but the only way I can keep it short is to simply say: All of them.

I'd agree with Hatter, all of them, Natives that is, with the odd Violet-ear thrown in
