...a beautiful little Eastern Spinebill! Oh, it was just gorgeous!
any of you guys had these land in your yard? It came briefly to my bottlebrush. Its markings were so striking. So beautiful.

yep, they sometimes come here, though far more common up in the botanic gardens

Get several pairs every year. I had a pair a few years back, but were to aggressive for the smaller birds in with them, so off they went & in came the Scarlet Honeyeaters.

lucky you, we dont have them over here in the obviously, but i have not seen an western form in the wild only aviary...pete
