I have, with my first aviary. It gave the aviary a good base but as the rest of the floor was dirt it didnt stop a mouse getting in. Thats been sorted now *she says crossing her fingers* we dug out the interior and laid several layers of wire under the pavers and over the dirt floor then laid shell grit on top. Cant say Ive seen a mouse since *crossing fingers tighter*

Did the wire thing to the big aviary lined it with weed mat then filled it in with river pebbles , good drainage always nice and dry and so far no mice inside the aviary . Did find a mouse in the outdoor dogs water bucket so they are about .

Aslong as it is in a very sheltered area and you dont get any big winds it should be Ok.A slurry of mud underneath the pavers would be better. As far as mice go if a pencil will fit through it a mouse will have a good chance.
