is there any way you could line the base of the aviary/wire/frame with vaseline? only surefire way i've found to stop ants dead in their tracks.

the coopex is safe in & out of the aviary.
usually I mix it as suggested, 1 packet to 5 litres of water.
dont worry about spraying the ant trail, find the nest and give that a good blast.
the other way I mix it is 1 packet to 2 litres of water, I find this is longer lasting when sprayed around the outside of the aviary.
neither mix has hurt the birds nor the damn dogs who lick it up as quick as I can spray it.

Coopex is great stuff on any insects, doesn't hurt the birds, Quial would eat the seed moths as they fell, & didn't lose one. Also good for mice, wont kill them, but spray around were they are active, as they are always preening themselves they don't like the taste of it. Safe on pets, has an oral LD50 of 1496, & a dermal LD50 of over 2000, ude have to go simming in the stuff for a couple of hours to affect even a small dog.

Have ordered it on the net , sounds like a good product. And I dont need to worry about the princess sticky beak getting crook from it.
