Yeah,may take a week before they try them.I only put them out once a day, but put enough out so that there is just a few left the next day.Each avairy is different and eats different amounts.

still no luck with the mealies am now thinking about livefoods substitutes for the future if they dont start eating the worms......
can vaguely remember mt father mixing up a sponge cake / egg shell / bits and pieces feed for his finches which they loved so am thinking of this type of thing with some vetafarm / insectivore type of substitute ....any ideas about this type of feeding???????? I have vetafarm live food replacement powder and some insectivore which ive been given so am set to go on this if its feasible ...thanx

I found that putting dry soft food, chopped lettuce & meal worms all in one dish.
They all go for the lettuce and after a while start to try the meal worms.
My Gouldians don't each alot though. Diamonds & Painted do.

instead of sponge cake try madiera cake without the icing
dont know what the difference is but my birds really enjoy it. I only make it available every second or third week though

yeah my tiels love madiera cake and its nearly always available in the day old rack ay coles ( lol gotta be thrifty ) will look at links supplied thanx heaps cheers
