Country energy .... our power bill is exactly double what it was this time last year , funny that we used the gas heater this winter and electric last year .
We do the direct debit thing where they guesstimate usage and deduct accordingly , in 12 months it has gone from $45 a fortnight to $90 ....
Soooo any tips on cutting back on power bills ? I'm sure I'm not the Lone Ranger in this situation.

Well I used to complain that when we moved here that power was twice the price (also on Country energy in Leeton) but now I don't have to complain about that an more.
Country Energy stung me for about $1200 plus for last quarter. YES that's alot of money and I have gas hot water, cooking and heating. I have replace most lights with energy saving globes but the big usage area I think is in my fish tanks. These tanks are now up for sale now. One problem fixed?

I had a $1500 bill contested it, cost me $60 to have meter checked they said there was nothing wrong with it but replaced it anyway.NEXT bill $650.00 (Yea nothing wrong with it)
