I'm heading off to Thailand tomorrow, for 5 weeks, I'll have some internet.. But most of my time I will be birdwatching... If anyone's intrested I'll come back with a report, and a heap of pictures. If you aren't I'll just come back with a large grin.... Should be fun!

5 weeks hmmmm. That should just give you enough time to write a report and load some pics that could go into the February newsletter, hmmmm?
Have a great time.

I'm going as my Dad married a Thai person xD So we're going to a small village in the North for most of the time, much more authentic then the general tourist trip ;D

The streams over there have the most awesome fish too and easy to see at times ...The Siamese Fighters in their natural form are suppose to be very easy to jar up and examine ( release them of course after you look ).
Look forward to seeing pics of the natives ( birds ) .

Usually queensland for us , closer trips meant I could take a friend and then it didnt matter where we were so long as me and my mate could nick off as far away from the oldies as possible.
Just a tip ...caravans + family holidays + teenage girl with secrets who talks in her sleep = trouble.

You will have a great time as the Thai people are really easy going.
I will be interested to see where you went and how you got on with the locals.
It looks like the Foundation I am involved in will be doing some research north of Chang Mia so
I will be there around June/July.
