About a arm full tied with string is a bushel(One bushel = 35.24 liters in volume.).there is alot of stem on it.Once the string is undone and it is let loose it would fill a 60L drum.Remember that it is all the stem and seed head including seed,So not like lowes where all I believe is seed,Most of a bushel will not be able to be eaten only the seed itself.

the farmer has told me that he is growing jap and french millet plus another seed he mention (which i cannot remember the name of) which looks a lot like jap millet...the seed should be ready in about 60 days...so lets hope all goes well.
He is willing to bring if directly to us (1 location) if we can order between 300-400 kg's...so please send me a PM and I will compile a list of those wanting to buy the seed....he will also be going to the bird sales if you are willing to wait...regards, Paul

The other one like Jap would probably be Shirohie, of the the similar, Barnyard, Jap, & Shirohie, it is the lesser seed. The birds don't seem to eat it like they do the other two. It looks like Jap dipped in bleach due to its paler colour. You'd be better off using the Jap & White.

Am a great fan of the Lowe's frozen seed and use it constantly, but am very keen to give this a try. Is there anyone with an idea how I can get my hands on some near Sydney? Would be happy to take a pretty big quantity.

I grow and freeze Shirohie for my Gouldian's and other finches they eat it of the head and don’t leave a seed . Each year i fill 2x 360 lt freezers with seed. I find i get more seed of the Shirohie then the French white and the birds like it just as much.
