It will be interesting to see where this leads to with subsequent generations. Good luck with this and let us see what any of the young look like.

have seen a pic of a Red head purple chest single factor yellow gouldian that had a red dot under his chin. The pic was posted Oct 23 2007 and the poster said that this bird had passed this red bib onto his male offspring.

I cant get in touch with the poster of the pic for permission to post it here, and its on a message group so I dont think it would be able to be viewed by non members.

Another one that would be interesting to follow the breeding of. To see if with inbreeding and outcrossing and breeding back to the original it was possible to expand that dot and get a red head without any black. Just to see if it could be done.

This days I hatched a blue chick with many white feathers. First I thought its a half sider!
But now I presume it is a pied one.
What do you think about?
Did everyone know about an established strain of pied gouldians?
The is much to read about but never I found informations about inheritance and so on.

Interesting little guy. Not sure if its the colour of the nodules giving the impression that one side is larger than the other, but they are different colours for sure. Looks like you might have a halfsider, but the wing colour is also half and half :?:
I wouldnt be letting this one get away

could be the nodules on the one side are affected by the pied markings.
Will just have to wait and see.

Its right the nodules on one side are white. Weather this is depending on a pied coloring? I don't know.
Look at the picture!

The chick is growing well.
Keep my finger crossed.
