Toasted wholemeal or wholegrain would be better. Yep they eat it.

Hallo. White bread is considered an "empty bread" with almost no nutritional value to the bird. It would be more of a filler. Brown or wholegrain bread would be a far better option. Just remember not to give the birds bread that is too fresh. Us humans might like it but for the birds you would be better to feed bread that is a day or two old. But no mouldy bread please.
