My last gouldian clutch fledged a month ago and they remain in the aviary with their parents. Yesterday I saw one of the chicks "jumping" (courting "dance") on the perch next to one of its sisters/brothers... I hope he's just imitating his father and practicing his courtship abilities !
Please, tell me this is normal and there's no risk of having baby-gouldians laying eggs !!

The young fella is just copying dad. I don't think 1 month old fledglings will go to nest. They simply wouldn't know what to do plus their sexual organs are not developed enough yet.

Would be funny to watch ...little mini goulds getting their groove on .
Accept that some days you are the pigeon, and some days you are the statue.

Thanks!
Feel much better now :D
These chicks look like their father's shadow! They follow him everywhere. If Dad flies off to a perch, the 4 chicks will follow him at once. If Dad goes down to the floor, the 4 will go to the floor, and so on , but they don't follow their mother, it's just DAD :-)
