I arrived at the sale with minutes to spare - 250 km trip. Set up the birds and in came the buyers. No time to look around. Others can fill in the details.
My thoughts on the sale - plenty of room in the school hall for further expansion, buyers might have been down on previous sale, clearance rate of birds ok, numbers of birds not sure. Mainly finch people looking for finches.
Myself I had lots of time to meet new and old contacts with plenty of conversations between the various breeders. This is one of the benefits of attending the smaller sale. Seen a number of AFF members at the sale, E Orix. Jayburd, Bleeding green and Southy (Ruddies are OK) and probably others without knowing.

yep all up a good sale think
met up with E orix, South, Wagga (I think? you bought southy's ruddies right?), bleeding green, a new member called Stella and E Orix's friend, Bob. (thank bob for me mate, the gouldian is going great!!
)
Very sore about missing NRG-800 but that's life... I missed Blink471 last time as well.
did anyone else notice my 'Jayburd'' piece of paper pinned to my shirt? (didn't have time to make it any fancier)

Orix wasn't selling because he was flying out to the US yesterday

there were 2pr of african silverbills, my first time seeing them inn the flesh, $400 a pair

lots of ruddies, some pieds, normals, no pinks from what i remember, LOTS of gouldians, mostly normals for once, some Aus yellows and dilutes, lots of YHs. pair of madagascar weavers, $200, pair of Grenadiers $350, lots of tri coloured parrot finches, ranging in price, 3pr black fronted crimsons, one pair with pied wing markings, 2pr of diamonds (unusual for our sales), the most STUNNING pair of normal RH gouldians I've ever seen, from Adam Fitzgerald, male had the most blue I've ever seen on a normal gouldian, all over his head behind his face mask and a long way up his rump. shame he sold too quick for a photo. Spice finch (unsexed) for $20, came close but decided against it because I'm getting tri nuns, same with a single chestnut which a guy had just bought but offered to me because he could see me staring lustfully at it

lots of zebs, boy those slates re lovely, would have gotten them instead of fawns but no slate hens available. Mixes of charcoals, fawns, whites, CFWs, silvers and res around too. plus a few pairs of scruffy normals.
lots of painteds, a few plumheads, green singers, canaries, a black headed nun, chuckar partridges, rosella mutations, princess parrots, blue faced parrot finches (no reds, which surprised me), cubans, jacarinis, orange breasts are going now for just $45 which is nice, hope it stays that way

some very odd king quail mutations, jap quails, a long-billed corella, king parrots, cordons, and I think that's about it

I have 11 pics but they will take ages to upload so will do it later
