i breed most of mine blue to split blue also do a couple of pairs of split 2 split and blue 2 normal 2 out cross.
i leave the young in avairy till coloured up, you need draft free well protected aviarys
iam just building new ones for some of my blues for winter
i would not breed blue 2 blue they need to be stronger before you can do that like the australian yellows when they first started now that mutation is strong so you can breed them colour 2 colour i think blues are a few years of that.

oldest i have had was roughly 4 know of a silver living to 5. the problem with blues you have to know the conditions they wear breed in and keeped in and slow get them used of your set up . but they can still fall over for no aparent reason worst period is first molt but are getting better.
i feed all my finches the same .
like when buying any bird the cheapest is not always the best have brought so called bargins but died two weeks later and have brought fostered blues that parent reared great after 1st clutch .
they can be very frustrating but also very rewarding.

From the list that I have I cant find any shows or sales
Hopefully the WA locals will pitch in with any details about meetings.
