This is a trivial thing but it is bugging me, Your forum name is Jayburd, was it ment to be Jaybird but you missed the I and hit the U next to it.

Here Bird Boy is a job description on the IRRI research station - they scare the munias and sparrows off the research plots.

There's a similar job on the prawn farms up this way, except it involves, shags, a motorbike & a shotgun :silent:

I think they are all classified as waxbills now so Jaybird will be happy :thumbup:

Unfortunately it is the Eurasian tree sparrow which the Spanish introduced here to make them feel at home.
