Opaline is the budgie term. No idea why whenever the pearling on the wings turns up in other types of birds, from small parrots to finches it is called pearl. Unless it is because the budgie version also involves a white or yellow "helmet" of feathers, and this does not seem to be the case with other birds? Have not seen this mutaion in Longtails. But assume that it involves white edging to the feathers of the wings? If so it will be increadably pretty.
