Well, after 6 months of false starts and clear eggs etc, we now have 3 OB chicks almost coloured up, 9 gouldian chicks fledged from 3 RH nests, and one pair of YH with 3 eggs at the moment. Love waiting for the gouldians to colour up to see what turns up...
exciting at last.

Well done Flap, you don't mention your stars I note! Mine are still sitting around like decorative perch ornaments. But OB male has actually started making a nest so here's hoping.

Yes, stars still doing nothing much other than building the occasional nest
We are considering moving them on at some point. No joy from the St Helenas or DBs either. Oh well, at least the gouldians are holding up the side!
Pete, by then your aviaries will be all set up and I am sure you will have a bumper season!

triplea- i did think about pics, but then thought to us they are amazing chicks (only because we finally got some!
, to anyone else would be just another bunch of uncoloured goulds, so nothing remarkable...
We are now up to 11 chicks out of 3 nests
. Not bad for our 1st attempt at breeding gouldians. I think that might be it as I saw a different hen in the last nest to fledge, so guessing there are no more chicks.

We are now up to 11 chicks out of 3 nests

Maybe so, but they are your chicks and you are a member and we like to see members chicks.flap wrote:i did think about pics, but then thought to us they are amazing chicks (only because we finally got some!, to anyone else would be just another bunch of uncoloured goulds, so nothing remarkable...

Congratulations FlaP. All successes are wonderful. My lot are dragging their heels, but there are nests everywhere and I did re-organise them a little late.
