We have a resident pair of Galahs that stop by every morning and evening for a feed .

Guess they must have invited their mates over this time.

And if you thought I got excited when the Rainbow Lorries dropped in for a feed then you can imagine how thrilled I was when this lot ( 7 all up ) dropped in today.

OK according to the Dubbo bird list of residents and visitors there are no crimson wings ....however the picture and name match Red Wings , yes yes those bloody names again , anyhoo they are a very uncommon visitor to Dubbo so I feel very honored they they ate my aviary birds leftovers .

Go south to about Nymagee/Ivahoe, have seen them with Superbs around Trangie/Warren as a kid in the early '80's, but mainly in the north west, from about Inverell, good numbers out around Pilliga/Come-by-Chance.

Just had a chat to an acquaintance that does the gardening at the Zoo here and he spotted about 1/2 dozen foraging with Galahs , the ones that came here were with Galahs also .

Wonder if they hang with the Galahs in new territory to find food ?

Wonder if they will stick around ?

Yes Jay they are a rarity here , again the rain has changed the dynamics of things as far as birds and urban areas goes .
