I bought some slow release fertiliser pellets, Neutrocote brand, for some native plants that I have in the aviary. Before I applied it I had a thought that it might be toxic to the finches if they start nibbling on them. Is this the case or are they totally harmless? The pellets consist mainly of Nitrogen and Potassium.

I've not had any trouble, but it is best to burry them, just in case. Could cause toxicity of miconutreints, copper, zinc ect. But I put in my aviary with Black-Breasted Button-Quail, & they are buldozers moving the entire floor every 2nd day or so, so it dose get uncovered, but haven't lost any birds to date.
