Hi All,

Having just signed up today, I thought I'd introduce myself

My wife and I have kept two male zebras for just over a year now. One's a silverback (Spot) and the other is a chestnut flanked white (Fluff). We've had a number of nervous moments, with some early escapes (and re-captures), some fighting between birds due to poor cage layout/space, and a bout of air-sack mite which was almost terminal!

But thankfully, our two zebras made it through our inexperience, and have been in really good heath for the past six months or so. Its been a really rewarding experience!

They're kept in a small finch cage (60cm x 40cm x 30cm) on the apartment balcony, but we'll be moving into a house next month and I'm really looking forward to building a nice outdoor aviary for them. I was looking for aviary design tips and found this forum.. there is so much amazing info here! Hopefully over time I can give something back :)

For now, I hope you all have a great Easter break!
