I live in the NW of England and have kept finches on and off for 30 years.Currently I keep White Headed Nuns,Black Headed Nuns,Orange Bishops,Napoleon Weavers,St Helena waxbills and Blue Capped Waxbills.
I ve had some success breeding them all.Since the import ban here prices have rocketed, but one positive thing to come out of the ban is people seem to be seriously attempting to breed birds that at one time were `two a penny`,anyway,im enjoying the challenge of breeding what some say are `difficult to breed`,despite our usual rubbish summer weather!
Stuart.

Hi Stuart and welcome.
Interesting to see you keep species that are also available here in Australia.
And don't worry about the rubbish weather- as well as compatriots we also have the odd Taswegian with whom you can lament.
Not that the rest of the country hasn't copped some disastrous weather extremes lately!!
I hope you enjoy the forum and that we can exchange some ideas. Just excuse the Australian bias when it comes to husbandry advice which may not apply to your situation!
Cheers
