Coz Lettuce for Gouldian's ??

Hi all.

Just wondering if " Coz lettuce " is ok for gouldians , i know " Iceberg lettuce is no good,
They have mixed lettuce no worries, any advise would be great !!

hi freddy,

I have feed cus lettuce to my gouldians on and off the last 5 years, its not eaten with gusto as much as say bok choy or endive but still is a good green to throw in to mix it up.

It hasnt hurt any of my birds , I buy it if its cheap and the normal darker greens are a bit pricey .

I was watching a doco about food and even though they say lettuce has very little nutrition they kinda mean for humans because we dont process the lettuce the same way birds and animals do so in my opinion its not going to hurt them , it may be good for them and I certainly give it to mine every now and then however there are better choices .

Thanks for the advice, I will stick to the " Mixed Lettuce" As i think the darker greens would be better for the birds !!
