Can I foster quail eggs?

I have recently had a tragedy where a snake has attempted to get into my small cage but was unable to get through the mesh but somehow has managed to half pull my female quail through n try to eat her! Horrible thing to wake up to first thing but most devastating is that she had just started laying n I now have 5 eggs n no mum... I do have a spare female in another aviary and could try to move her but I don't think she will take over the nest, but I do have another pair that have laid and are now incubating their 6 eggs so I was wondering if I could move the motherless eggs into the incubating nest or will this just stress them out?
I can just dispose of the 5 eggs but would prefer to give them a chance.. Please help..

King quails.. Sorry that info would be helpful!! Hahaha

Quail can't count, there is no reason you can't slip the eggs into mums nest when she gets off to feed.

I fostered 8 abandoned eggs under another hen who had 3, she hatched and raised all 11.

Yep go for it so long as the time difference isnt too great a day or so max. I had California quail and kings in the same cage and the kings who cant count also cant differentiate as they offen mustered up 1-2 of the Cals eggs to add to their nest. I never let them try the raise and hatch thing but gee it would be fun to see mum King and Cal bub doing thier stuff.

I had young king quial get through into the Brown Quail who had young of their own, tried to put them back with their parents, but wouldn't stay there so I left them there & the Browns raised them all.
