How much is too much?

hi all

I was just wondering how much live food should be fed? i feed mealworms and have been told they can make birds to fat.
I am also going to try termites. any help please???.

I feed a large amount of Meal Worms and Bush Fly Maggots without any problems BUT my birds are in reasonably big aviaries.
If a bird/s are kept in smaller cages you have to watch their total diet not just live food.
My personal opinion only, if the birds are in an outside aviary and can naturally exercise then I don't see a problem.

ok thanks heaps, my avery is 5mx5mx2.1.
so as much they will eat will be ok?
