mice are probably the main reason I made the foundation of my new aviary so deep & thick. take a desperate mouse a long time to get through 2 foot deep by 1 foot thick concrete which has 5mm wire in it. little shits always manage to get in somewhere though

Hey Mick you know if you get a bad storm you will need to take shelter in the aviary, it will never blow away with that much concrete

no matter how deep and think you put the footing down they will still find a way and no mater how clean you keep your avairy you will still get mice. i dont think ive ever heard of anyone that didnt have a mouse problem when keeping birds

does anyone if you put blue metal works i read in mike filders book on the gouldian finch that he sed it works but you need to put it in at about 3 inch thick and it is to heavy for them to dig in?
