what medication an preventitives do i need to give my finches an is it ok to give it to them wile there breeding?

I use a standard bird wormer that you can buy anywhere they sell birds, been told that they should be wormed 3-4months and that includes breeding time. There's a topic in this section of the forum which elaborates on this exact topic.
