I would say that my male Jenday is probably twice as loud as the Green cheeks.

That's why your better off biting the bullet and buying a pair or two now. Atm, it's still easy to find dedicated breeders who concentrate on them and don't cross them because of their value. But once their price drops and they are seen everywhere finding a 'pure' pair will be much harder.thehammer wrote:I’m waiting for the Crimson-bellies to drop in price, sadly just like with the Nyassa, Fischer and Masked lovebirds they are already being crossed with Green cheeks by stupid breeders.
My female is a lot quieter than the male, if he was like her you wouldn’t even know they were herebleeding green wrote:I've never owned the Nandays or Jandays, but my suns are easily the loudest birds in my aviaries. They standout by a mile over the other conures. 1 pair is OK but I think if I had more I'd have issues. A single bird inside would be bearable, but if it had behavioural issues it would be unbearable.
I understand the reasoning; however I do not really want to put $3400 into 2 pairs of conures. If I was going to outlay that amount of money on parrots it wouldn’t be on the Crimson-bellies.bleeding green wrote:

Yeah, I guess it depends on what you really want to focus on. Nice birds, and quiet too.thehammer wrote: I understand the reasoning; however I do not really want to put $3400 into 2 pairs of conures. If I was going to outlay that amount of money on parrots it wouldn’t be on the Crimson-bellies.
The bigger problem for me is that I would never be spending a lot of money on birds – seen too many people loose expensive birds.bleeding green wrote:
