Finch in early stages of going bald

I have a gouldian finch hen that is just starting to go bald, what should I do to prevent this from getting worse, I will try and post a photo up later if I can, thanks

Is she breeding? I have one that goes "vulture" during breeding season, but is a great mother. I think the stress of breeding may effect some individuals but age may have something to do with it. If she has been liced/wormed etc this may be the reason.

She has only had one clutch of eggs in march but he father died a few days after fledging, so that may have put a lot of stress on her but this was 2 months ago and her going bald has only happened in the past few weeks

I'm not saying that this is what happened. But the skin can be parted from the head and as it heals back feathers fall out and then regrow. also could be a skin infection, birds usually go bald from the back.

Agreed it doesn't look like the typical " vulturism " that a lot of hens get . Do Gouldians go bald when they age ?
