dont worry deb,my first thought was "oh god how awful,wonder what was wrong with it?" :o
was it hard nathan? im thinking of doing my babies but im worried I may hurt their toes or something...

No it is very easy indeed u get a special tool that splits the ring an u put the foot of the baby finch in the tool an it
Just slips on the closes it Is very easy an dos not hurt the baby finch at all I think my little giuldian was just a little bit freaked out that's all but he is perfictley fine.

Ok thanks,I will give it a try I have the tool and some rings .Mine are double bars that are still going well with the rest but I need to be able to tell them so they cannot breed with eachother :)

no afraid not,im keeping them ..they are my first babies except for zebs and societys,the bird nest at carringbah has double bars
