I have the pink one ( caged birds ) which is in the aviaries and I also have a charcoal , eggshell , cuttlebone and grit mix which is also in the aviaries .
The birds prefer the grit mix and rarely touch the Biocal so if I add PVM to my usual grit mix then could I eliminate the Biocal ???

I recently started using BioCal - the pink one - the birds love it. They also get egg shells, cuttlebone and good old shell grit. I'm just about out of shell grit, do you think it's still necessary?

Well I think it is.

Sam that's why I have been running both Biocal and grits , cant be sure what to do so good question .

With luck the PVM in my own grits will work out .

I have found the Biocal is mostly used by hens on eggs or young , no other time do they seem to touch it .
