Confused Gouldian?

Thanks for your input all. The bird is still being kept separate to the others so i guess i'm doing one thing right. Steep learning curve with these birds. As i said, i turned up to buy the little guy with good intentions and then got carried away. It's never going to happen again. Checked him again today and i noticed that a little bit of red is appearing on the bottom of his beak, yet the top is still dark. Who knows. Anyhow the problems i mentioned earlier (sleeping, large white dropping, picking at the feathers around his vent are persisting.) any thoughts or should i have posted this in the "health" section.
