Gouldian does not like competition

I bought a SF Yellow back cock gouldian a year ago and he was the only YB out of 30 normals I have, he's not bred at all since I have had him, 2 weeks ago I bought another SF Yellow Back Cock and suddenly the first one & his hen have gone to nest and are sitting on 5 eggs maybe he didn't like the competition and thought he had better get his act together or off to the pet shop.

Its weird how having a spare cock can tend to get the other cocks mojo going, found haging a spare cock with my painteds seemed to work when one was broken the hen always leave and go to the spare. Didn't work at all with my ruddies had alot of tiffs so I brought another hen.
