They will breed anytime of the year superfinch. Ideally I don't want them breeding in winter tho. Hey tiaris mine love sprouted sunflower but I only mix a very small amount into there sprouted seed and generally only over winter. Sprouted is less fatty? Bit unsure they love it tho

Choices Choices Choices..... i think asking on the forum has made my decision harder instead of easier because now i have been made aware of even more choices oh boy!
I think the answer to my problems is to get a bigger avairy and then I can fit them all in!
I tell you what though I went to a bird shop today and saw some cubans and they were so beautiful i love the way the male has the black chest and the yellow around his head. THe colours would certainly go well in my avairy.
And then i saw red faced parrot finches and I love them tooo...
And then ... and then.... and then.... etc
So you see I want everything now... (sigh)....
maybe i should own a bird shop and then I will have sum of everything !!!! lol

It sounds like you are in the same boat as most of us. Just need one more avairy.
Cubans, canarys and Javas are all great singers. And I keep them in the same avairy without problems.
