e-mail advice of a PM is when it has happened to me Di.

They are private messages that are addressed by the person sending them ie. username once they get to the forum .

But my hotmail email list however says the yahoo address no matter who is sending them .

It used to say private message from aussie finch forum now it says private message from the yahoo address.

Wish I could work out a way to show you .

Just forward and insert Di's e-mail is what I did. Did that work Di?

I think Ive worked out what is happening. You must have you member profile set so that any pm sent to also sends an email to you so that you are made aware of it.
The forum email address has been changed in an effort to make someone in Admin or mods available by email if anyone has a problem logging in.

Can't speak for Deb but yes I have my profile set to advise of PM's by e-mail.

It looks like this is what is happening.

Those members who have their profile preferences set so that the arrival of new pms initiate an email from the forum informing them of the new pm.
As I changed the address on the forum on the 15th June that's why the email arriving telling you of the new pm are now showing my address.
The reason for the address being changed is Admin is trying to make sure anyone who gets locked out for any reason has an address to send a message to that actually get checked daily. Must admit I didnt think it would affect that section of the board.

Also please note that even though my email appears on the notice I don't have any access to any private messages between members.
