went to the ararat sale today not a lot of finch bit still spent a lot lol good time had by all

Never a great deal of finches there. I still would have gone though if not at work.but as you said is a good social day . And you never know what will be there on the day.

I was thinking of going but in the end couldn’t justify the 240 km’s and 3 1/4hr drive each way

I unforfunately arrived 40 minutes late. Very few finches, masks,WE masks, parsons were the only licensed finches I noticed. Very few emblemas, stars, but a few yellow beak longtails. Mainly parrots. My main comment would be that I hope the bird sales don't turn into a budgie show! Only a few, but I'd sooner have that stamped out. I enjoyed the space. I didn't really see many cages, but I was late. Most of the time I go to sales, I'm out after about 40minutes, just enough time to do a couple of laps to make sure I haven't missed anything.

A budgie show at the sale - I don’t see anything wrong with that – no different to a canary or zebra finch show.
