I was busy with tafe- finished it and lost a few birds a week ago only 3 left

Perhaps its time to sell the remaining three birds and look at another type of pet that is easier to cater for.You seem to have had a shocking run with birds and i have to say that if you cant keep them alive and provide the basics for them then they arent a good choice for you.Not really fair on the birds. :thumbdown:

i have been feeding them and all the basic stuff but i seem to loose more birds from winter i am P***ed off about it i lost so many and i was thinking to myself when my last 3 birds go or i decide to give to my bro i am thinking of not getting birds any more

Please dont wait until they die ... give them away so they have a chance to survive winter .

last weekend i lost 6 finches, 1 quail and 2 red rumps so i am upset about my loss

What is he doing differently from you? Was it the cold, or do they have a virus of some kind? Can you get him to help you out? Do your birds have enough shelter from rain and wind? Some animals can be very delicate and maybe birds are not a great choice. Sorry that you are upset about your losses.

Yes but if the cage is open to the wind they might get too cold,especially gouldians. They need areas away from wind. and some solid walls on the aviary.
