my bro finnaly came to his sences and gave me his 2 last finches and 1 quail
what i want to know is that i need to know alot about finches
whats best a wooven cane nest or a nest box
whats the pros and cons of the two

Both nests are really good for breeding finches but it depends what finch it is, eg. for gouldians the best to use is the nest box and for zebras the best to use are the woven cane nests.
I'm not really sure what the pros and cons are, I don't think there is any really.

Wont hurt to give them one of each because sure enough if you use one type they will prefer the other ...gives them the choice .

well he only gave them to me cause i have been nagging him "can i have them"
i am planning on using the nest boxes if its ok and also getting 1 or 2 quail hens(i need advice here) wether i need 1 or 2 and get some more finches

I would be keeping the remaining finches/quail in quaranteen for a while just to be sure the others didn't die from some funky disease that these one may be infected with also .
Just a precautionary measure .
Then find them mates when you are sure they are fit and healthy ....feed them up a bit with soft food , greens ...spoil them rotten for a while .
