plovers and lapwings

looking in the near future to aquiring some banded or masked lapwings , any idea what their requirements are ie aviary space / diet , what the can be housed with (safely) all info will be greatly appreciated. Have always had a liking to birds that may seem a bit weird or less attractive (other than my partner , I am only saying that as she is behind me)..pete
