We bought these 2 canaries as a breeding pair, both are singing so we think we have two males. :o Can anyone help with identifying the gender of these birds from these pictures. the top picture we knew when we bought it, it was a male by his singing. the bottom picture, this bird has only just started singing. any help would be great.

Visually there near impossible to pick for sure. I always vent sexed them. Some hens will sing but not as loud or as rhythmic as a cock bird.

If they both whistle the typical serinus trill, you have 2 cocks.
