If you dont know where Gulgong is then imagine if the world had a bottom cheeks , well its right in the middle of them .

Loved doing the HSC , it got the brain going .

Haven't been close enough to see the eye colour so dont know what to make of it .

Do you think your one is a wild natural mutation or an escapee ? It certainly is nice .
not sure if wild or escapee but it has been interesting to watch the interaction between the normal birds and the mutation . when feeding, the normal birds slowly but deliberately move the lutino bird to the extremety of the flock as they feed , it will then try to position itself amongst the normal birds and the sequence starts again .perhaps this is done with sick and injured birds as well ??? on one occasion i observed allopreening with a normal but the flock was disturbed and i have not seen this occur again. when the flock is in flight the lutino melds with the group. its just a pity that the bank manager insists that i work , i could get quite used to watching the birds !!
I realized that If I had to choose, I would rather have birds than airplanes.

Self-preservation on the flocks behalf, different bird stands out so easier for a predator to target. Watch a falcon chase domestic pigeons, it's generally the whiter/different birds that get picked off.
