Magnificent looking bird, I remember when we were travelling one time and one of these took off from a roadkill in front of us, the wing span was wider than the car. :shock:

beautiful birds, used to see heaps of them each time I travelled to or from Roxby.
Worse than roo's on the road, you had to go round these guys as they don't leave their road kill

Remember interviewing a tourist from Perth a couple of years ago when I was working in Exmouth for Tourism WA. And they couldn't figure out why the Wedgetail had not gotten out of their way like the crows, but had gone through the windscreen of their nice shiny new 4 wheel drive. City gits.
