Reminds me of the old trick question that schoolteachers would ask:

Which is heavier a pound of feathers or a pound of lead . . . of course the kids always said the LEAD, much to the sadistic joy of the pedagogue

But seriously 5kg of feathers is a serious amount

One feather pillow will last years . . but they will 'break down' a bit if not stored properly (don't ask me what that means as I obviously stored mine improperly and had to toss quite a few out) :oops:
