Of all the Hybrid references the latest is early 1980s, and other than that, the latest is 1953... That's why there's no pictures, I assume ;)

Australia List: 324 (White-throated Nightjar)

Cameras have been around since 1000AD (camera obscura)
I know even my Mum and Dad had a "Box Brownie" in the fifties to take family snaps, so you would think someone would have a photo lying around somewhere.

All hybrids have had a Female Budgie Parent aswell

Most likely because a female lovebird would kill a male budgerigar (females too aggressive when breeding).

Seeing that any other Hybrid is quickly made known to the public and photos are plastered all over the internet , it seems strange that no photos are available of the alleged Hybrid .

1953 ... cameras were a luxury however not unheard of for the average family to possess one .

I was talking to a guy last week about this and he said that he had seen such a cross when he was working at a bird shop - the breeder brought in the birds for him to buy. I have known the guy for a long time and his information is generally reliable.

I can’t explain the lack of photo proof though - I would imagine that if it happened in the 1950's a photo of such an occurrence wouldn't be considered necessary like it would today.
